Back Stage!

A recent brief I had was to go behind the scenes of a stage musical. It was the most interesting brief I've done to date. It also gave me the opportunity to use higher ISO settings and spot metering. The lighting is already done for you which is an added bonus. No flash required for this job! I hope you enjoy these images and please feel free to share my blog.

This was taken behind the first curtain whilst the actor was in performance. The light on him created this incredible back light. I was unable to see the image when taking it as I literally poked the camera through the second curtain. I was pleased with the result.

This Image was taken from behind the first curtain, I poked the camera through the second curtain whilst the actor was performing. I was unable to look through the view finder whilst taking the shot so it was purely guess work. I was pleased with the result.

The light hit this actors face at the right time,

creating this interesting portrait.
